New research shows why parents involved in Facebook
Most parents in the US are joining Facebook to give and to receive parenting advice, found a new study.
The study of "The Pew" found that three-quarter of parents of children under the age of 18 have accounts on Facebook.
94 percent of parents who were part of the study stated that they are active on Facebook with posts reviews of distribution. The study found that mothers use Facebook more than fathers, with 37 percent of mothers who enter "often" compared with 20 percent of fathers.
75 percent of parents join Facebook every day, while 51 percent use social network several times a day. This is more often than couples who do not have children, with 67 per cent who enter daily on Facebook and 42 percent involved several times a day.
Parents give and receive emotional counseling, social and parenting on Facebook, research has found.
81 percent of parents who were part of the study say they try to react to the good news they distribute their friends, while 58 percent of them say they are trying to react to bad news, reports "siliconbeat.com" broadcasts koha.net.
74 percent say they have received support from friends on Facebook and 45 percent of mothers who use the social network "strongly agree" that they receive support and help from friends, nearly twice more likely than men to feel the same.
About 80 percent of parents who use Facebook have found the necessary information on it, as more than half see it as the right place to find tips for parents, research has found.
